TEACHING ENGLISH TO SPEAKERS OF OTHER LANGUAGES (TESOL)
“Training to empower others”
TESOL is a 6-week intensive seminar, training & equipping people to teach English as a Second Language (ESL). The seminar will thus equip you with an important tool to impact and empower those that need to learn English in communities around the world, including closed nations.
This seminar is designed for both native speakers and non-native speakers of English, with a heart to help others improve their English communication skills. The training is designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and character to become a successful language teacher. Practical application with real life students is a key component of our training, and on completion of the course you will be ready to step into the classroom.
Graduates will receive a University of the Nations TESOL certificate for successful completion of the seminar. For those seeking globally recognised accreditation, it is possible to obtain an Australian accredited certificate through an Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO) by a process called Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Recognition of Current Competence (RCC). For more details please contact us.
Graduates from the TESOL seminar may have the opportunity to join future overseas outreaches with YWAM England, teaching English overseas.

Beulah is originally from South Africa and has been with YWAM for 8 years. Recognizing TESOL as a great “tool” to reach the nations she completed the school in 2012. Since this time Beulah has pioneered English classes at YWAM Harpenden, these classes have served our campus staff but primarily served Au pairs from all over Europe who are working for families in the local area. The classes have been a key connecting point for these Au pairs, resulting in many conversations and positive impact in their lives.
Beulah is passionate about TESOL because she sees the tremendous impact learning English skills can bring to individuals. She believes that being an English language teacher is an effective tool and bridge in building relationships. She is working to see the multiplication of the TESOL across Europe and has a particular heart for refugees.
