Short-term volunteering at YWAM Harpenden

Here at YWAM Harpenden, our Mission Builder program allows those who are interested in seeing what living on a missionary training campus could look like. This is a short-term program from one to three months, that allows you to use the gifts God has given you to serve the campus in very practical ways. Consider it a taster of our mission.
As a Mission Builder, you will become an integral part of our community. Joining in weekly worship and prayer times, going to various evening activities and events on the campus. There is also an aspect of discipleship and pastoral care made possible by the program coordinators.
Those who have come to serve with us have found it to be a challenging and spiritually refreshing experience — and a great way to make new friends from around the world!

Mission Builders can be accepted from 1-3 months and must:

  • Be physically able to work 35 hours a week
  • Be over 18 years old
  • Speak and understand English on a conversation level

Listed below are various teams that our Mission Builders may be involved in:

  • Carpenter/joinery
  • Grounds and landscaping
  • Kitchen/ Dining Hall
  • Plumber
  • Painter
  • Housekeeping
  • Cleaning Facilities
