Using Holistic Advocacy to bring the Kingdom of God to heal nations!

 

You don’t have to be a lawyer to be an effective advocate!  Let us equip you with tools effectively advocate and intervene in areas of injustice!

This post-DTS school equips individuals whose hearts burn at injustices to be interveners and effectively advocate by understanding God’s perspective on justice and learning holistic, practical advocacy tools to bring healing to the nations.

 

LECTURE PHASE   

By approaching injustices from both a “top down” (law and governmental level) and a “bottom up” (considering societal impact and creating grassroots initiatives), students are given tools for effective and practical advocacy.

The course includes topics such as:

  • Research and writing;
  • Critical and implicational thinking;
  • Holistic advocacy and project planning;
  • Legal analysis and writing;
  • Advocacy through intercession;
  • National, international, and human rights law including law-making;
  • United Nations advocacy;
  • Political and governmental systems; and
  • Initiating grassroots movements.

FIELD ASSIGNMENT

The three-month field assignment option allows students to put into action the advocacy project that the student created during the lecture phase with the possibility of opening the door for a long-term project.

Julie and Allen have served full-time in Youth With A Mission since 2015.  As attorneys serving the mission through legal counsel and advocacy, they focused on serving those called into the sphere of government with the goal of seeing the Kingdom of God come into that sphere to bring healing to the nations.  They teach in many nations on diverse subjects ranging including foundational biblical values, holistic and intercessory advocacy, human rights, nonprofit organizations, and immigration.  

Julie and Allen are married with three young children: Samuel, Hannah, and Daniel.
