How to find us

From London Heathrow Airport

By Bus / Train
Take the 724 Green Line Bus from Heathrow Central Bus Station to St Albans train station. This takes 1 ½ – 2 hours (£11). From St. Albans, take a train to Harpenden for about £3.80.

Alternatively, you can take the National Express coach from Heathrow Central Bus Station to Luton airport. This takes from 55 minutes to 1 ½ hour (cost £25). Take a shuttle from the airport to the Luton Airport Parkway train station and then take a train to Harpenden (it is only one stop) for about £4.40.

By Underground / Train
Take the Underground (Piccadilly Line) from Terminal 2 & 3, 4 or 5 to King’s Cross / St Pancras International for £6; single fare. It takes just under one hour. From there take the train to Harpenden.

On arrival at Harpenden, follow the instructions to Highfield Oval from Harpenden train station.

By Uber
Take an Uber for around £50-70. It takes between 60-90 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to follow instructions on the Uber app.

By Bus / Train
Take a shuttle from the airport to the Luton Airport Parkway train station and then take a train to Harpenden (it is only one stop) for about £4.40.

On arrival at Harpenden, follow the instructions to Highfield Oval from Harpenden train station.

By Train
Take a Thameslink train (northbound) to Harpenden station. This takes about 1 ½ hour (cost £27 – £29).

On arrival at Harpenden, follow the instructions to Highfield Oval from Harpenden train station.

By Bus / Train
Take a National Express coach from the coach station, which is just 2 minutes away from the terminal. You can take a direct coach to Luton Airport. This takes around an hour and 25 minutes (cost £16). Take a shuttle from the airport to the Luton Airport Parkway train station and then take a train to Harpenden (it is only one stop) for about £4.40.

On arrival at Harpenden, follow the instructions to Highfield Oval from Harpenden train station.

From London Stansted Airport

By Train
Take a Thameslink train (northbound) from St. Pancras International station to Harpenden station. This takes approx. 25 – 40 minutes (costs from £15 on weekdays; from £9.60 for a super off-peak ticket on weekends). Groups of three or more travel cheaper on a group ticket.

On arrival at Harpenden, follow the instructions to Highfield Oval from Harpenden train station.

If you have a sat nav use AL5 4BX or simply use Google Maps.

1. From the M1, exit at Junction 10/10a for Luton / Luton airport
2. Follow the signs to Harpenden / St Albans (A1081)
3. Follow this road for about 3.5 miles into Harpenden
4. Turn left up Hillside Road (opposite Tesco Express) about 100 metres before a railway bridge over the road (signposted for Private Hospital / King’s School)
5. At the top of Hillside Road, turn right, onto Ambrose Lane
6. Highfield Oval main entrance is the second on the left, just before a bridge over a disused railway line
7. You can park near the Factory / Clock Building, but not in the areas around the Oval which are for residents only

By Road

From Harpenden Train Station

By Taxi
Ask for a taxi to Highfield Oval, on Ambrose Lane; it takes 4 – 5 minutes and costs about £8.

By Uber
Alternatively, book a Uber via the app. This will be slightly cheaper, around £5-6.

By Foot
If you prefer to walk, exit the station from the front (i.e. not through the car park) and cross Station Road onto Bowers Way (between Harpenden Fish and Chips shop and Harpenden Grill & Kebap shop). Walk to the end of this road. You will come to Sun Lane. Turn right and walk up the hill to Tennyson Road. Turn left onto Tennyson Road and walk to the end of the road. Turn left and then immediately right onto Ambrose Lane. Continue along Ambrose Lane, across a bridge and the main entrance of Highfield Oval is on the right.
