Discipleship Training Schools are 6 month adventures where you will spend the first 3 months living in missions-focused communities learning about and being discipled in living out your faith, followed by approximately 3 months living as a boots-on-the-ground missionary, discipling the nations.

HOW IT WORKS

The Discipleship Training School is 5-month course. The first 3 months take place at an YWAM Campus. During this phase, you will be living in a mission-focused community, being prepared to live the Great Commission in the nations.
The daily schedule consists of lessons every morning with teachings, prayer time, corporate worship, evangelism, practical work, and small group meetings.
At the completion of the lecture phase, trainees have the opportunity to ‘make God known’ in the outreach phase. It’s two months traveling to different parts of the globe.
You will have the opportunity to work with different missionary campus around the world, local missionaries, Christians and make the gospel come alive by preaching the good news of the Lord Jesus Christ!
The outreach phase is a time of adventure!
After the outreach phase, the school comes back to a YWAM Campus for one week.
During this week, as a team, we process everything the Lord has done in and through our lives while in the nations.
Finally, we have our graduation party and the trainees finally become YWAMers, becoming part of this family of missionaries that has greatly impacted the nations!

The Discipleship Training School (YWAM DTS) is a prerequisite for all other courses and is therefore the gateway into the seven Colleges/Faculties and various Centres of the University of the Nations.
