WELCOME TO SCHOOL OF WORSHIP!

School of Worship is a live-learn hands-on school put together to empower Worship Creatives with the practical and spiritual tools needed to effectively carry-out worship ministry in ways that are creative and RELEVANT to culture, wherever God has called them to.

We believe that if worship and music ministry is carried out the way God intended it to be, it CAN effect lasting change by reaching the lost, discipling people and eventually transforming nations; which we believe is your greatest desire. Worship Ministry is a healthy synergy of the right Spirit, the right Skills and Creative Relevance.

SO IN OUR SCHOOL WE FOCUS ON:

  • Grow deeper in your relationship with God, 
  • develop your musical gifts and also acquire other skills needed to stay relevant and effective,
  • gain in-depth and much needed Biblical understanding of the Ministry of Worship, 
  • Gain leadership insights that will help you to function effectively as a servant leader in whatever place and culture God has placed you.

Nigeria

Ozichi (also known as Ijay) is a proud Nigerian, an unapologetic creative, and a lover of music and all-things worship. 

Through the last 20 years, Ozichi has served in various capacities in music, creative writing and worship ministry: As Worship/Music director within and outside the local churches, as a professional singer and songwriter in the corporate secular space, and as staff in YWAM, in various non-music and music functions.

Through these diverse work experiences The Lord has afforded Ozichi the privilege of witnessing first-hand the power of worship and music to propagate transformational change in the lives of people and communities at large. She is therefore a firm believer that music creativity and worship play important roles in how we influence cultures, and is becoming a fast-emerging force in the evangelism of people and the discipling of nations. 

Ozichi is committed to the vision of creating spaces where young creatives are continually encouraged to pursue God’s heart authentically, develop excellence and creativity in areas of musical skill, and pursue relentlessly the advancement of God’s kingdom.

She is married to Kayode and they are blessed with two lovely girls. They make their home in YWAM Harpenden.

COURSE CONTENT

  • Heart of the Worshipper, 
  • The Foundations Of Songwriting and Musicianship, 
  • The Biblical Foundations Of Worship and Worship Ministry, 
  • How to Develop Worship Teams, 
  • The Work of the Holy Spirit, 
  • The Importance and Basics of Cross-Cultural Communication 
  • Practical guides to connecting Worship, Missions and Evangelism
  • Etc., 
  • Biblical understanding To Excellence and Relevance In Worship Ministry

 

Our Music Skills Development, Will Include:

  • Practical and Effective application of worship leading, 
  • Voice coaching and development, 
  • music instrument development
  • public speaking and people engagement 
  • cross cultural perspective and communication
  • Songwriting and Music Production
  • Practical outreach- Street evangelism, and outdoor and indoor worship gathering
  • Etc.,

Our well experienced Speakers, skilled Music Trainers, and dedicated on-ground staff are there to encourage your growth a healthy pursuit of excellence, as you discover and deploy creative and relevant ways to communicate God’s heart through worship and music.

Every trainee is fully engaged in times of heartfelt worship, study, skills development, consistent prayer, team bonding, songwriting projects and live worship projects (street evangelism, indoor and outdoor worship events).
