WHAT IS THE EQUIP YEAR?

The Equip Year is looking for individuals who are wanting to go deeper in their discipleship with the Lord, explore their gifts and develop their skill sets to enable them to be effective in telling God’s story across the nations. We believe taking a year out, to invest and develop can be a significant key to launching into the future God has for you.

WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?

As an Equip Year trainee, you will be given the opportunity to participate in multiple YWAM accredited schools in one consecutive programme. There are different track options available to choose from:

STEP 1: Discipleship Training School (DTS) (September-March) or Bilingual Spanish DTS

STEP 2: Choose your track (April – June)

• Track 1: School of Communications Foundations (SCF)      
• Track 2: School of Photography and Storytelling (SPS)
• Track 3: School of Missions (SOM)
• Track 4: English Cultural Orientation * for non-English speakers who did the Bilingual DTS

STEP 3: Practical Project

You will have an Equip Year leader who journeys with you and other Equip Year trainees throughout the year. You will meet together regularly and they will help to plan your practical placement projects (Step 3) in a way that fits with your ongoing development and allows you to serve so that you solidify the knowledge you’ve gained in classroom settings.

(All the courses you take, can be part of working towards an Associates and/or BA degree with the University of the Nations).
