A Discipleship Bible School is a community based course with the aim to read, discuss and study the entire narrative of the Bible alongside others. You will follow ‘the red thread’ of the redemption plan of God to bring all humanity back to himself while also discovering new characteristics of who God is. Within discovery groups you are given the opportunity to ask questions and discuss with others while reading the entire Bible out loud. Throughout the lectures, you will learn the literary genres of the Bible, the cultural contexts they were written in, and main themes highlighted within each book to better understand the uniqueness of them.
During this course, you will discover that as your understanding of God’s Word deepens, your heart to know Him more will grow and you will be challenged to apply personal revelation to your own life. Come and be immersed in the truth with people who have a desire to do the same. Be drawn into a deeper relationship with God as you are transformed through His Word.
Amsterdam Trip
Within this school we will also be spending some days in Amsterdam partnering with another Discipleship Bible School! It will be a time of learning and growing alongside another YWAM community all aiming towards the goal to better know God through His written word. We will attend lectures, read and discover scripture side by side while also enjoying the culture and canals that Amsterdam has to offer.
This is not a Bible school that disciples people, this is a discipleship school that studies the Bible!

COURSE CONTENT
In DBS you will:
- Read, discuss, and study the entire Bible
- Receive lectures in a chronological, overview pattern for every book of the Bible
- Learn the Inductive Bible Study Method
- Learn to lead small group Bible studies for others
- Discover more of God’s character and His Word within community
- Apply personal revelations as Jesus is deeper revealed to you
- Engage in worship and intercession alongside others

Jennifer Moyer
Jennifer joined YWAM in 2021 at 20 years old. She came for just a quick 5 month discipleship course and plans quickly changed once she began to read the Bible all the way through for herself for the first time. Within 3 months she had a dramatic shift in perspective and heart, feeling, “It’s as if someone has been keeping me from the reality of what is in this book”. Consumed with a passion to know more, she attended, staffed and led Bible schools within YWAM for the past 4 years fueled by a heart to provide others with the same opportunity she had; to read, study, and receive personal revelation through the Bible for themselves. A fun fact about Jen is that cows are her favorite animal.
