The fourth week of DTS consisted of everyone’s favourite conversation starter: relationships. While we couldn’t get the actual speaker, Dean Sherman, to come in, we simply ordered in his video series and had the privilege of Paul and Ashley Bulgin from YWAM Harpenden come in and share their story alongside the video. Most days comprised of watching an hour long segment with Dean and then discussion and comments with Paul and Ashley. The videos brought incredible clarity and reasoning that the trainees had been waiting for concerning their questions about relationships and God’s heart behind the brokenness in the world with the Bulgins providing the real life examples, understanding, and wisdom.

On Friday night, we had a cultural night. One of our trainees proposed to the staff last week about having a cultural night for the DTS and so all of the trainees brought and made foods from different countries and brought them to the classroom. There was an outreach team from Atlanta that is staying on the base and helping with different maintenance projects and they also brought some food to add to the table. There was a lot of food, lots of dancing and surprisingly not a lot of clean up. There was food from America, Egypt, Ecuador, Kosovo, Australia, Canada and Doctor Who.

The fifth week of the DTS will be about freedom and original design. John and Suzi Peachey (leaders of YWAM Harpenden) are talking on the school. Please be praying for more freedom for the DTS this coming week and for the weekend outreach next week.
