The fifth week of the January school had the YWAM Harpenden directors, John and Suzi Peachey, come in to speak on freedom. They began with original design and how God made each of us uniquely. On Tuesday night during Community Meeting, we had a time of prayer with the trainees and asking God for words or pictures for them of how they were made specifically. The Peachey’s also talked about unforgiveness and the feelings of rejection and lead the school through freedom of those areas.

On Thursday, two of our DTS trainees went with a YWAMer who worked with a ministry that goes into schools to teach Christianity. They went to a primary school here and were able to teach different parts of the creation story. After they got back, our school split up into three groups for a weekend outreach.

One team went to Brick Lane in East London and worked with a YWAMer who was working with a church plant café. They did prayer walks, talked to lots of people and handed out sweets. At one point, they held up a sign asking people if they needed encouragement and handed out encouragement notes to people walking on the street. The second team went to South East London in the Sidcup area. They worked with a church with their Valentine’s Day dinner and working with different events. The third team went to East London to work with a church in the Bow area. They helped with different youth events and helped to plant bulbs of flowers around the area.

On Sunday, it was a day off. The trainees spent their morning reading through the book of Ephesians in the project room. They called it iChurch since everyone was reading the Bible on their mobile device.
